About Frank

Frank BarnettI’m a 33 year old marketing guy. I’m happily married and I’ve got an almost-two-year-old (who I adore) and another little girl on the way. Like most of you, I work more than I’d like to, but I love what I do and the people and companies I get to work with.  In the spare time I do get, I like to play with my little girl, read good books, and watch football.

What I Do Well:

Since this is my work site, I’ll stick to the work stuff.

I’m a Certified Google Advertising Professional and I’ve done a lot of pay-per-click (PPC) marketing. Over the last several years, I’ve managed almost $1 million in PPC advertising for a handful of clients, and I’ve been doing some aspect of Internet Marketing for most of the last decade, including everything from emails and newsletters, search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM), content generation and distribution, and about anything else you want to roll into that. I do pretty well at most of these things.

What I Don’t Do Well:

However, I don’t do some things well. I’m not a coder, and I don’t build custom sites from scratch. I’m not a graphic designer or an artist or a photographer. I know several people who do these things exceptionally well, and I don’t feel any (ok, some) insecurity at not being able to do what they do. Because of this, I do outsource some components of work I do. The way I see it, my clients have come to me for a solution, and if I can do it well by myself, then great – I make a better margin. But if someone else can do it better, then I’d much rather bask in the reflected glow of their awesomeness when my client gets great value than do slow, mediocre work while I try to do it all myself.
